Last week the New York Giants defeated the division leading Cowboys in what was a do or die game for them. Not only did they win the match, but they did it in spectacular fashion with 2 touchdowns in the last 3 minutes of the game. That win powered them into a tie with the Cowboys; both squads are now 7-6 on the year. There are a number of choices in the last 3 weeks of the year, but the most obvious way to the playoffs for the New York Giants is to beat the Redskins this Sunday and then defeat the Cowboys on the last game of the year. Should this happen the game with the NY Jets in week 16 is not going to matter.

As most people would have been surprised at a 4-9 record entering week 15, the Redskins have had a unsatisfying year. Right now management is considering next season, with individual players trying to polish their statistics in a drive for good contracts. Their team has quite little inspiration apart from pride.

The New York Giants have been riddled with injures this year, but the team that beat the Cowboys last week will be the same one taking the field vs the Redskins. Giants devotees will be loud and inspiring in front of a home crowd of devotees that skilled 4 consecutive losses before last week’s fourth quarter miracle. The Redskins is going to have to be careful they are not eliminated early and the New York Giants may be sitting on one of their best matches of the year.

The beginning line was New York Giants -7 with the probabilities currently -6.5 at the internet sportsbook. It will be a major upset if the Redskins were to win this match. It is just a matter of the number of points the New York Giants will win by. The line is saying it’ll be a touchdown, but this writer sees the New York Giants winning handily and covering the 7 point spread.
