A powerful argument may very well be made that no 2 teams in football are in more of a tailspin than the Bills and the New York Jets. One of these teams will be given a possibility to salvage their season in this Nov 27 game. At the start of the season, the teams had different expectations. Going into this season head coach Rex Ryan was forecasting this would finally be the year they would move forward to the Superbowl as the New York Jets have been to the last 2 AFC Tournament competitions. The Bills, on the flip side, have not had a winning season since 2004 and were a dismal 4-12 last year.

The Bills stunned the league by starting off 5-2 behind the standout running of Fred Jackson and smart game managing of qb Ryan Fitzpatrick. The Bills’ bid for their 1st winning season in years has become less promising, nevertheless, as they’ve lost their last 3 competitions. The New York Jets have been sporadic all season. They won their 1st 2 competitions, then lost their next 3, won 3 in a row after that, then dropped 2 more in a row. Both teams are now 5-5.

It’s a match that may be critical for both teams on Nov 27 when the Bills play at the New York Jets. The Bills have an opportunistic defense that may make things tough for New York Jets qb Mark Sanchez, who’s prone to making misguided throws. But just 3 weeks ago the New York Jets hammered the Bills 27-11 in Buffalo and of late that Bills defense has not been useful in stopping anybody. While both teams are struggling, it seems the Bills are the squad that has entirely fallen apart, losing their last 3 competitions by a combined score of 106-26. Going into New York to play a New York Jets defense that is seeking to make a point may not be the way for the Bills to right the ship.
